Senior Science Technician (maternity cover)

This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

As Senior Science Technician - Maternity leave, you will be working with the Director of Science to support an effective Science curriculum. Our 2025/26 academic year is our inaugural KS4, and you will be pivotal to ensuring their final years with Brian Clarke will be a success.

 

 

We are looking for someone to start in this role as soon as possible, and this fixed term contract will end March 2027. This role is term time + 10 days.

 

Job Purpose

 

Responsible for the provision of timely technical support for the science department to allow teaching staff to deliver the science curriculum and whole school and departmental initiatives, whilst ensuring science laboratories are maintained in a safe and clean working order.

  • An individual able to build relationships and rapport with students, parents, carers and colleagues, as well as communicating directly with relevant external agencies.
  • Someone who will go the extra mile for students, not because they are asked to but because they want to; someone who will do their utmost to ensure that all of our students’ progress to the future destinations of their choice.
  • Someone who will inspire students and the staff they work with.
  • An excellent communicator with sound analytical skills and a flexible approach.
